How did you get started with CrossFit?

I got started with CrossFit in March 2015 when my bud asked if I wanted to go workout and since that first day I cant get enough of it!

What is your favorite/least favorie workouts?

Grace is probably my favorite WOD because Clean and Jerks are my favorie movement! I have a strong love/hate relationship with deadlifts and anything to do with them.

What are some of your CrossFit goals?

Long term goal would have to be going to the CrossFit Games and competing. Competing is like a dream. I love the vibes of competing. I’d also love to own my own box one day. Short term goals are to eat better and get more sleep. Those are real problems I’ve been trying to fix. Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is my weakness…

What would you tell someone that is on the fence about CrossFit and not sure whether they should give it a try or not?

People ask me what I do a lot and when I tell them “CrossFit” I get the same response every time something like “Oh you’re on of
those people” or “omg you’re going to kill yourself” I feel like everyone wants to do CrossFit but they’re just scared and nervous. Yes, it’s an intense workout in an hour or so and it does cost some money, but believe me, it is worth it and your body will thank you for it too. I mean, I’ve been at Driller CrossFit for about a year now and I’m doing things I never thought possible and I love it! Everyone is so nice and cheers you on! It doesn’t matter if you can power clean 300# or 45# were all trying to get to the same goal and that is to be fit and healthy!

What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment thus far?

My proudest CrossFit accomplishment so far probably getting my first ring muscle up!! The view from up there is amazing!

If you could workout with ANYONE…who would it be and why?

If I could workout with anyone it would have to be my boy Josh Bridges!! That man is the GOAT.

What do you love most about Driller CrossFit? 

What I love most about Driller CrossFit is the friendships I’ve made there, honestly. Everyone is great. Victor loves everyone too and makes sure you know it! He works with everyone until they actually know the movement so they don’t get hurt! There are no bad vibes at Driller CrossFit.    

What is your favorite quote and/or motto…one that you live by? 

 I guess if I had a motto it would have to be “Stay Chilly”. Everyone asks me what it means and to me it means to calm
down a bit, chill, don’t get anxious just take a breath. Its simple but it means so much more.

How has CrossFit changed your life? 

CrossFit has changed my life physically and mentally. Personally, ever since starting CrossFit I wake up in the morning
determined and ready to take on the day! I feel healthier and stronger and I just have a better attitude all around! I’m doing things that I never thought I would and it’s amazing! I feel like a superhero every day and its great! I thank CrossFit for making me a fitter and better person every day!
